Well. Why Hausgeister? What does this word mean?
First I must tell you a little secret ... I believe in elves and fairies! :) Yes, Really!
A Hausgeist is a domestic entity, an elf, a goblin. In fact the word is composed of Haus, which in German means "House" and Geist that means "Spirit." The Hausgeister belong to German folklore and those little Elves are living in the homes and in the gardens that are sorrounding them. Are also part of tradition and culture of Alto Adige-South Tyrol.
They are benevolent and good-natured creatures. The Kobolds are similar to them and they are small creatures too, who secretly populate houses and woods.
They say that the Hausgeisters are spending a lot of time to re-order the houses and the barns where they live.
They are good company but be careful not to offend them! They can become very, very naughty! ;)

Prima devo dirvi un piccolo segreto ... Io credo negli Elfi e nelle Fate ! :) Davvero!
Un Hausgeist è un'entità domestica, un elfo, un folletto. In realtà la parola è composta da Haus, che in tedesco significa "Casa" e da Geist che significa "Spirito". Gli Hausgeister appartengono al folklore tedesco e si dice che siano piccoli elfi che vivono nelle case e nei giardini che le circondano. Fanno parte della tradizione e della cultura anche dell'Alto Adige.
Sono creature benevole e bonarie. I Coboldi sono simili a loro e come loro sono piccole creature che popolano segretamente case e boschi.
Dicono che gli Hausgeisters spendano un sacco di tempo per riordinare le case e le stalle in cui vivono.
Sono buona compagnia ma attenzione a non offenderli! Possono diventare molto, molto dispettosi! ;)
